Job Description:
The Senior Field Service Engineer will be a primary member of our field deployment teams responsible for the installations and testing of Cisco, Ciena, and Nortel optical networking systems. Knowledge of Cisco ONS 15454 MSPP and MSTP optical multiplexers is a key requirement. The candidate must have hands on experience in SONET and DWDM environments at both Enterprise and Service Provider sites and be able to work independently or as part of a team during field deployments. Field Service Engineers are supported and directed by Project Managers who are responsible for the overall project management, and will be directing the candidate’s field activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for performing site surveys that accurately reflect field deployment conditions and requirements
* Translate network design requirements from the RDP (Ring Design Package), MOPs and site surveys into staging, site preparation, and deployment action plans for installation and testing
* Perform all required network tests, including taking OSA shots
* Ability to follow MOPs in testing, collecting data, and data verification
* Responsible for configuring and provisioning network circuits in the field.
* Responsible for proactively ensuring maintenance requirements are met
* Ability to work independently or to supervise a team of 1 to 2 engineers
* Requires extensive travel, approximately 60%, which will at times include weekends
Requirements:
* Ability to interpret topography, network design drawings and blue prints
* Hands-on working, configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of the Cisco ONS 15454
* Ability to use various optical test sets such as a DS-1/3, OC-x, Gig-E, Etc. and OSA
* A strong working knowledge of Optical SONET and DWDM technologies
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint
* Must have a valid driver’s license
* Background check and drug testing required
* Ability/history of having had customer site access permission
* Cisco Optical Certification a PLUS!
* Ciena optical networking installation and testing desirable

Job Description:
The Implementation Project Manager will be directing our field deployment teams and be responsible for managing the installations and testing of Cisco, Ciena, and Nortel optical networking systems. Knowledge of Cisco ONS 15454 MSPP and MSTP optical multiplexers is a key requirement. The candidate must have hands on experience in SONET and DWDM environments at both Enterprise and Service Provider sites and be able to manage the customer interface and NTSG’s System Engineers and FSEs in complex field deployments. The Implementation Product Manager is responsible for the overall project management, including deployment plans, schedules, issue resolution, being the customer’s single point of contact, meeting project budgets, and directing all field activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for managing the customer interface, which includes representing NTSGs interest as a member of the customer’s Implementation Team, providing status updates, issues resolution negotiations, and invoicing.
* Responsible for developing the installation and testing time lines that meet the customer’s Implementation Team requirements.
* Translate network design requirements from the RDP (Ring Design Package) into an Installation Packing which includes rack elevations, shelf designs, wiring diagrams.
* Schedule site surveys, staging, site preparation, and deployment action plans for installation and testing.
* Translate BOM into acquisition orders and manage logistics of all materials through to deployment.
* Responsible for verifying and validating that all required test data meeting the customer’s requirements, and then translating them into Red Line Engineering Documents.
* Responsible for developing MOPs, SMOPs, acquiring site access and COI if required.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
* Requires evening and weekend coverage as required by field deployments
Requirements:
* Ability to interpret topography, network design drawings and blue prints
* A strong working knowledge of Optical SONET and DWDM technologies
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint
* Must have a valid driver’s license
* Background check and drug testing required
* Ability/history of having been a PM for complex deployment projects at multiple Service Provider and Enterprise sites.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent Project Management experience
* Strong verbal and written communications skills

Job Description:
The Technical Sales Support Specialist will support the Sales team in the coordination and implementation of NTSG’s professional services products by performing pricing, proposal generation, and order entry and quality assurance audits. The Technical Sales Support Specialist will also be required to provide technical customer service by handling and/or coordinating technical questions in support of proposals. The specialist will work directly for the VP of Sales and Marketing and be responsible for coordinating responses to internal and external clients as needed. Candidate must also be able to perform data verification and collection, be proactive in solving potential issues before they become problems. This position may require some travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepare Bids & Proposals using structured pricing tools and proposal formats
* Responsible for the ongoing customer follow-up on all Bids & Proposals, both those in development and issued.
* Maintain a comprehensive issued Bids & Proposal data base providing real-time status of all issued Bids & Proposals.
* Manage customer requests regarding pricing, technical issues, and project status.
* Responsible for processing and tracking all incoming orders.
* Regularly access a state of the art knowledge management databases to research technical issues, offer advise to customers and help sell services
* Proposal writing and outstanding follow-up skills
* Responsible for becoming an expert in the product and professional services NTSG sells and supporting both the internal deployment teams and end customers with that expertise.
Requirements:
* An understanding of optical networking and experience in the following types of products: Ethernet, Frame Relay, SONET technologies. An understanding of the Cisco ONS 15454 a plus.
* Ability to work effectively as a team player
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while caring for pre and post sales activities
* Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Reliable and accountable
* Results focus and attention to detail
* Sound decision making skills
* Sales support experience with strong customer service skills
* Have to be well-organized and thorough in order to manage important details such as imputing customer data, project budget and completing sales orders.

* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
